Recorder of Deeds

                                                               Record Alert

The Recorder of Deeds is now offering a new Record Alert System to all residents of Luzerne County. The service is free to anyone who would like to sign up for it.

The Record Alert System is provided by the Recorder of Deeds vendor, Landex. Property owners may register by name or the Property Identification Number (PIN) for your property(s). You may list up to 5 PINs/or names for monitoring.

The Recorder of Deeds’ Office is required to record any document that is presented to the office when all required data is properly executed and payment is received. There is no way for the Recorder of Deeds Office to know if a document is fraudulent if all required data is executed properly.

The Record Alert System does not prevent a document from being recorded in the office but is a way for the property owner to monitor the recording of documents containing their property identification number/or name from the time they sign up for the service.
